3 Quick Wins for Your Google Business Profile

If you're a local business, your Google Business Profile is the key to boosting your SEO. It’s easy to get caught up chasing trends on Instagram, but what we really want is for people to find your website.

The truth? Your Google Business Profile isn’t fun - it can feel super boring and doesn’t give you that dopamine hit that Instagram might give you. But it really really matters.

Here are my top three tips for optimizing it effectively:

1. Add specific services and products.

95% of my clients came to me with zero products OR a list on services which was not correct. Regulary update these and Include clear descriptions and a direct link to the relevant page on your website.

2. Use the “Updates” feature weekly.
When you write a blog or share a post, repurpose it as a Google update. Keep it short, include a description, and link back to your website. Aim to post once a week to send a message to Google that your business is alive & relevant

3. Ask for reviews—then reply to them.
Google loves fresh reviews. Create a simple, natural process in your sales flow to request them—whether it’s after a job is done or in your thank-you email.

Then make sure you always reply. It shows Google (and your customers) that you care. If you get a negative review, make sure you respond professionally and in a way which shows other potential customers that you care about service.
